Is it any good?
I will take my(Pete) Dealer hat off for a second and give you an honest summary of my first thoughts...
YES! It is lightweight, easy to use, has wireless audio, waterproof, fast recovery speed and most importantly has true multi frequency operation, for me it ticks many of the boxes that the 2017 detectorist is looking for. Would I swap my CTX3030 or XP Deus for it? I'm not so sure on that as they are both exceptionally good machines in their own right, time will tell how well the Equinox stacks up against them. The price point is another key point, if the £850.00 - £900.00 estimate can be maintained then the 800 will offer a fantastic choice to the mid range market.
